Seems I am a little late for this party, but be that as it may, I voted only once for this challenge and that was for this photo. I love picking a winner! Great image Gessman and a well deserved first place.

WOW Nice to see you again...... and I love the still life!

Thank you DB. Please pardon my delayed reply. I thought the thread was done. Somehow I don't seem to be getting notices of posts on a regular basis.

Please show us your winning contests photos.

Thank you mbs1925. I appreciate your comments. I do have another 1st place and a 3rd place finish since this one. I'll post them just below this. The first was a 1st place finish in the "Texture" challenge and the other was 3rd in the "Negative Space" challenge. Please pardon my delayed reply. I thought the thread was done. Somehow I don't seem to be getting notices of posts on a regular basis.

Thank you again. I sincerely appreciate it and also sincerely apologize for the delayed reply. I'm having some kind of trouble with notifications. I've enjoyed your St. Pete and Tampa shots. I lived in St. Pete for awhile, in Bayfront Towers, that tall building just off the pier on the left looking off the pier.

I've been urged by a few uhh friends to submit the winning image of the Still Life contest for broader viewing. Not wanting to bore you folks with it, I will post it because it gives me an opportunity to give my thanks and appreciation for the man who runs the contests. When they first started I gave them a week but the gentleman who runs the contests is obviously no ordinary man and the contests have become like the Energizer bunny - they just keep going. Thanks St3v3M, for all your effort. It adds an element of enjoyment to the forum for many members to have contests to participate in. Many thanks to the other participants and especially those who voted.

I'd also like to congratulate the other winners and the ones who didn't win this time around. There were some mighty gorgeous images in the lineup and I am absolutely surprised that my image came out the winner but I never look a gift horse in the mouth.

I'll get on the bandwagon with everyone else...........excellent shot. It looks like a little HDR is showing through......is it?

No hdr on any of the 3. I pushed the still life through SPE for a touch of something that I thought improved it a little, whatever it does to an image - which might be a bit of faux hdr and I wouldn't know, added a little redish tint to the dandelion, while the tree is au naturale save for a bit of basic sharpening, white balance, contrast. I shoot Raw and have all the settings dumbed down so I have to bring up each image with processing. Thanks.
