Has anyone had the issue of posting photos and within a few hours the post is gone ? Just wondering because I have had this happen twice in the last two days. Am I just not posting in the correct place or is it something in my settings ?

Depends on how you are looking for it. Check under the "MyTopics" link and it should still be there.

Under the Newest Topics the latest posts and comments will be at the top. ALL posts quickly slide down and away to the back pages unless someone is posting lots of comments to them. Happens to everyone!!

If you are posting just pics here, then the mods are probably moving them to the Gallery.

Thank you !!! As you can probably see I don't post much at all. I have been on the forum since November 2011 and have only posted a handful of times. So I suppose I'm still a new old timer.

The suggestion to look at your topic log is spot on. If they've been moved, that's one thing. If they're not found, send an PM email to ADMIN and describe the time / date and other details. You may have evidence of a problem they're not aware of. Key thing is you saw the post, not you saw a preview of it but then didn't follow thru on actually posting.

Any time I have posted in the wrong forum it gets moved to the proper one and I receive a Private msg from the admin stating it has been moved so check your private folder for them .

Just happened to me today. I posted an entry in the flower photo contest this morning and it was gone when I just looked now. Let me know if you figure it out.

JA - this may not apply to your post. But, there has been a discussion to get a bit more forceful on the contest rules ... Entries that do not follow the theme will be deleted. Photos MUST include a title or description. Untitled entries will be deleted.

Thank you for the feedback. I had a title but perhaps my shot didn't adhere to the proper guidelines.

John;

Your profile says that you don't have any threads started.
Are you sure you actually posted the pic?

I posted a picture of a single rose this morning. It then appeared up above with the line of flower pictures already posted. I then went back to the same site in the afternoon so see if there were any new pictures posted. My rose picture was gone. I then proceeded to post another flower picture. It also appeared with the other flower photos and is still there three hours later. The original rose is still among the missing. Seems kind of odd.

The trick is to say thank you individually to every person that makes a comment. That way you double and in some peoples posts even triple the hits that post gets. Big reason I don't even bother posting anymore. It's like a little club and they all drool over each others photos which in many cases are nothing more than snapshots. Best thing on this site is the info you obtain to make yourself a better photographer for free of cost. If you stay with this forum you'll notice that the best and knowledgeable seldom post photos..........

DEC - the first couple of times I attempted to upload a photo, I didn't notice that the upload was still ongoing and left the screen too soon. Sometimes it seems to take forever for the upload to complete. And I thought I had a pretty speedy machine. So, as someone else asked, are you sure the photo was originally posted?

expounds on the criteria which must be met for acceptance into this week's photo challenge.
I've never had it happen, but I would have thought that you would receive a Private Message regarding the removal.
