I like the backlit hair, but she needs more light on her face. Your eye is drawn to the lightest spot in a photo, in this case, her hair, and her face is lost. Because it was natural light, you shoudl try a reflector to get light back in her face, or better yet, a flash off camera to give her face some depth.

Seems a little flat... Perhaps you could add a bit more contrast and lighten it also. That may help.

Nice start so far. You might ask her to look at the camera at the last moment so you can really see her eyes. Keep playing, it gets more fun when you realize how much you learn in a short time. I find the people on this site to be wonderful in giving their advice. :thumbup:
