''Retraining for cattle guards''

> Read this to the end, and tell me if this country will survive with these idiots in charge!!

>Joe asks for 6 months of retraining for Cattle Guards'!

> You will love this one; I haven't stop laughing yet.
>
For those of you who have never traveled to the west, or southwest, cattle guards
are horizontal steel rails placed at fence openings, in dug-out places in the roads adjacent to
highways (sometimes across highways), to prevent cattle from crossing over that area. For
some reason the cattle will not step on the ‘guards', probably because they fear getting their feet
caught between the rails. (People in the south also know what cattle guards are.)
>

>A few months ago, President Obama received and was reading a report that there were over 100,000
cattle guards in Colorado . The Colorado ranchers had protested his proposed changes in grazing
policies, so he ordered the Secretary of the Interior to fire half of the cattle guards immediately!
>
Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presumably try to straighten President Obama out on
the matter, Vice-President Joe Biden intervened with a request that...before any cattle guards were fired, they be
given six months of retraining for Arizona border guards. “Times are hard", said Joe Biden, "it's only
fair to the cattle guards and their families!"
>

And these two guys are running our country, OMG!
>
Passed on to you without further comment...
>
And they called George W. Bush stupid!!!!

I am in no way defending the POTUS, but you had to inform us what a cattle guard is. Your observation of him may be a little more accurate due to your knowledge, but this just seems like a tiny "grasp" on your part to point out how stupid someone can be. I'm sure that you don't know everything either. And yes, maybe they should do a little more research before opening their mouths but I'm sure there are bigger examples of ineptness. Just sayin.

This may come as a shock to you, but most people who grew up in urban areas do not know what cattle guards are.

Also, you may want to check out this bit of info:

As has been pointed out, variations of this joke/lampoon have been around a long time. It's not surprising how close to reality this one is though.

Those who checked the links are now aware that the original post was just so much BULLDUST. Since this same fallacious post was used for Clinton and Bush2, it should be the policy of UHH Admin to require retractions for posts that are proven untrue and only posted to promote a political agenda.

The Chit-Chat section would be an invaluable vehicle for presenting opposing political views rationally and civilly. Unfortunately, political views of all stripes seem to monopolize it for name-calling, unfounded assertions passed off as legitimate opinion, and tacit racist rants passed off as "humor".

And before anyone else suggests it: yes, I draw value from the Photo Discussion sections and concentrate on posts there, but once in a while a controversial Post title in C-C piques my curiosity.

Ahhh yes, Clinton never inhaled, never had sex with that woman and our current non-present ( that is his pre- president voting record) president wrote about using cocaine..lots of it. Or paheps when he was talking about the Marine Corpse... So you are indeed correct!

His blunders are things about his CAMPAIGN speech a few days ago about hiring people to "fix bridges, infrastructure" . In typical Orwellian fashion, it is the same speech he said 5,4 years ago when he dumped how many billion to do the very same thing- where did that money go? Didn't fix any of the bridges it was supposed to.

Baaaa Baaaa is all you hear... hear how nice he says it! ...Sheeple

As an accountant I used to accompany clients who were being audited by our friends at the IRS. One day I was with a farmer who had purchased a "Bush Hog", basically a rotary mowing deck on steroids. The auditor, with a very innocent and sincere face asked "What do feed your Bush Hog? At this point the farmer and I knew we had won the audit.

I agree with you, Beowulf. I wonder how people who are so nice and helpful on the photo blog can turn into such hateful ideologues on the Chit-Chat section. This nasty dialogue does not help solve the problems in our country. I wish the administrator would form a separate section for racist jokes so that I wouldn't have to see them when browsing for reasonable opinions which I may or may not agree with but can learn something from.
