Just messing with white balance, cloning out the window, and cropping. I know I could have (should have) left more of the window on the right side so the hossys could be riding off into the sunset, but hey...it's late in the day and my peepers are gettin' tired. Happy trails~

very nice, now a white horse looks like a white horse. the crop eliminates all of the superflous information, focusing the attention on the horses.

To Catzeye & Nikonian: Thanks bunches. Good original image so it was a snap.

Something occurred to me while I was doing this...No matter how hard we try to get the 'perfect' image on our cameras (a purists' image), there are simply times when you just can't shift to get a better view (especially if you're standing on a cliff) and/or have only a split second to aim and shoot (carousel horses, birds, etc. etc. etc.)...regardless of the miscellaneous background 'stuff.' THAT is when PP REALLY comes in handy. Case in point: Y'all know how spectacular sunrises and sunsets can be, so you run outside to get the image before it's gone and when you put it on your computer you find power lines (or some other offensive item) running accross the sky. Dang! I hate when that happens.

So...purist or not, I still like the idea that we can do SOME necessary alterations in photoshop (or whatever). I will now step down off o' my soap box. 'Nuff said.
