I like this photo, but I really want to do more with it. I thought about trying to keep all three horses and switching to a black background ,but don't know if that would work.. Any suggestions on how to improve. If anyone wants to work on it and upload their version, please feel free to do so

At first it was too small so I had to edit it

Since you said it was ok I worked on it for a few minutes. I first cropped it....then filled in the portion of the window and left the third horse's face and hoofs...utilized shadow/highlites then added a very little contrast....utilized the brush tool to darken what I filled in....finally put a 2px black border. This was done very quickly and the result may not be better than the original you posted.

I've removed your photos from my PC.

only one small nit to pick in otherwise outstanding edits. The "white" horse is stilll pale blue. I suspect improrper white balance is the culprit.

These were one of the first that I took with the Canon Rebel, and I just used the factory settings .. didn't even look at the settings, but I am learning more every day!!!!

its alright. ive nbeen shooting for 43 years and still made the mistake of having the white balance on a wrong setting. 18 shots later, i managed to save a few, others looked real cool in dark blue. the point is it can happen to anybody. dont sweat it.
