STVest Loc: LA - that's Lower Alabama

Both daughter and hubby are on insulin pump therapy. I have agonized that our "share" cost of those supplies would increase, if they are covered at all. The pump supplies run about $300/mo for each of them. They each use 3-4 vials of Novolog a month. Last 'script I picked up a couple of weeks ago revealed ANOTHER increase (3rd increase in cost this year), now at $180/vial. As far as I am concerned, insulin pump therapy is the best treatment available. The last time we had to purchase a new pump the cost was $6k -- fully covered by the BCBS policy we had then, but lost when we retired. Will policies under Obamacare fully cover that equipment? I doubt it. Proponents claim that we are the type of family that will benefit most from Obamacare. I doubt it. I doubt it very, very much.
