here is one I took 50+ years ago. I don't think I need a model release because he must be long gone.

For many "photographers," myself included, the subject is irrelevant. What I want is nice composition, good exposure, sharp focus, and maybe something out of the ordinary.

If it didn't look creepy, we could ask about buying used mannequins from stores and use them to practice shooting humans.

Funny.

I've done it for my step father, at his fathers funeral. I think Funeral
Photography is interesting, I have no problem with this,

No relitives left. It was the cheepest one I ever done. I think the box was cloth covered cardboard. Her Husband was buried the same way.

The 'Beautiful Young Lady' pic cries out for a reflector to fill in the shadowed side.

It may could have used a reflector, but I like the drama better. There is a bit of exciting contrast. Also the sun was setting... Thanks for the critique.

I wonder if the funeral industry uses posed pictures like that of live people in the caskets. Women dress up as brides for photo shoots, so why not go the other way?

Funny cause I think once you've seen a photo of common back yard flowers, I don't need to see 100 other some what medicore photos of flowers. Same goes for hummingbirds, sun sets, dragon flies, bees on flowers, etc. Now a jaw dropping dragon fly will get my attention, out of focus bee - not so much.

Now give me slightly OOF portrait any day.

UHH doesn't really seem to be a place that many portrait photographers gather. I'm not sure why, they seem to end up on other forums.

Feel the same way, EXACTLY!!!! Sometimes wonder about other sites maybe geared for working photographers. Any suggestions??????
