Up front warning ... this is an opinion piece by Bill O'Reilly, so don't click on the link if you are an O'Reilly hater or a FOX News hater. I'm not a regular viewer of O'Reilly, but this piece was a stand alone video that was featured yesterday. I think Bill has some good points to bring out, and it might be worth listening to, whether you agree or not.

While I rarely watch O'Reilly, I must admit that I believe he is correct on all points.

He was at his best with this topic and I am sure he will take a huge amount of heat for it. No one has the guts to discuss the disturbing statistics he brought up, everyone wants to just turn their backs on it. 8-)

Bill mentions the disintegration of the African American family, but he does not share any thoughts on the cause. What are some of your thoughts on this issue?

I'd have to agree with him. It's not just black kids that are affected. I have seen my share of white kids that have no parental guidance, no discipline and no adult supervision that has led to drugs, sneaking out after dark, pregnancy, teen sex, shoplifting, poor grades, poor grasp of the english language and no high school diploma.

Bill hit the nail on the head with that one. Sometimes I disagree with his Catholic influenced, middle classed, white bread viewpoints, but this time he is right on. Many whites have similar problems although not as endemic. Current and previous generations of no parenting producing latch-key kids that grow up on the streets. It's of epidemic proportions. Congratulations Bill! Not too many of your ilk have your balls, too bad.

He said that you can not solve today's problems by dwelling on yesterdays injustices. Any discussion as to how we arrived here only delays a resolution. There is nothing in this message against which I would argue. No form or degree of abuse is an excuse or justifiable reason for continuing down the road of self-destruction. The black community may suffer from the disintegration of family structure and values to a greater extent than most ethnicities, however, these problems exist in all races. The first step in resolving a problem is to recognize and admit exactly what the problem is.

Obama, Sharpton and Jackson should be making the race situation better, but they are who they are.... and the media keeps endorsing them.

My thoughts are , that he is a Journalist and a commentator and report the news and the facts of the subject. I don't like personal comments from a journalist . let me judge for myself

That is the guy who should be running your country.
Wish we had someone as straight talking working for us.
Dream on I suppose, the namby pamby PC liberals idiots who are destroying this country will always make it a racist issue if you dare mention anything remotely linked to any other race, country or religion.

While I don't always agree with Bill on every subject, I have to say he hits the nail on the head with this one.
