There is no 3.5-5.6...There is the constant F3.5 or the variable F4-5.6...The variable aperture version is considered to be the better lens

Stan, so you have the f3.5-5.6 or the f4-5.6? I'm interested in knowing if the 3.5 is worth around $250.00 more than the f.4. Thank you.

Thank you screamin Scott. I thought I had seen the f3.5 but will look for the variable f4.

I have been thinking about getting an ultra-wide for quite some time and when I saw a Sigma 10-20 4-5.6 on eBay listed for $300 from Midwest Photo (100% positive feedback). I bid $305. I won!
Anyone using this lens and if so opinions please. I will be using it outdoors so the 4-5.6 shouldn't be a problem. I use a Nikon D7000. Thanks.

I bought this lens a few months ago and as I'm quite an amateur I have struggled with it a bit. At first when taking landscapes I was a bit disappointed because the scenes seemed too far away. I've learnt you get a better result if you have something in the foreground. (I've been used to my 18-200mm zoom.)

I've also learnt they are good for buildings and inside buildings which is why people say they are good for real estate. You just need to get out there and see what this lens can do - as do I. As others have said, you can improve any distortion in LR.

I'm really glad I did buy this lens and I'm sure you will enjoy it. It's all about getting out there and learning what it can do.
