I sent in 3 repair emails to Nikon

1. Telephoto not locking in place on a Nikon P510

2. Possible Focus problem on my Nikon 70-300mm Telephoto

3. Possible related item on focus with my new D7000 and the new zoom lens.

I get an email a few minutes ago asking

"You have multiple products with Nikon, which does this (my email) refer to?"

I told them in a return message

"It refers to the camera listed above in the subject line on your email referencing the Nikon COOLPIX P510"

I'll wait until they ask again on the telephoto or the D7000.

I won't tell them I'm scheduled for cataract surgery

Why are simple things so often complicated to the point where they no longer make sense?

I could use manual focus but I had it set on auto and correctly, I expected it to do what it's designed to do. If this happens again or if the shot is important to me I will do manual override .,

You're not referring to a separate, removable lens, are you?

Sounds like you could keep Nikon busy. Good luck on your eye surgery. I have done many and feel it is one of the most beneficial operations in medicine with relatively small risk. If you're like most patients, you'll be pleasantly surprised by your visual improvement.
