Just because you can buy an expensive camera...
...doesn't mean you should.
Exhibit ASee the review by "Iceman." He bought a Hasselblad. It cost $17,000. Even though he's a "casual photographer." He bought it to take to Disneyland, and gave it a low rating because it didn't come with a lens and doesn't do video.
I have some "Ocean Front Property in Arizona" maybe I should give him a call. LOL.
Some people have more money than "sense"!
Yeah, that's kind of amazing. Must be rough.
If you can afford a $17,000 you'd have someone take pictures for you. I grew up in Brooklyn, now wheres that title to that bridge.....
Does P.T.Barnum know about this guy ?
been there-done that,BUT.
i bought a pentax 645d and 4 lenses,but i did my research first.spent $12,000 for the whole bunch.
WHY? because after working for 34 yrs on the assembly line ,i could afford it.
i've done events and landscapes and had a lot of fun.i am just scratching the surface of what it can do.we have a fun journey ahead of us.
i hope thaat guy knows that it will cost at least $2,500.00 for a used lens,i also hope he will ask some of you guys to help him grow into his new camera.
I'll give him $1000.00 for the "Hassy", LOL
Reminds me of high priced idiots that buy Ferrari's and have virtually no idea how to drive.
Makes one wonder how some folks end up with more money than brains.
Some of us enjoy owning expensive cars and gadgets that aren't necessarily better than the average product; however, we do it because we simply can. My Ferrari is not the most comfortable car in the world, my Rolex watch is the worst time keeper and my "Hassy" has not made me a better photographer. We tend to reaward ourselves for our life accomplishements and even though sometimes we fail to see the logic, it should notbe considered a laughing (LOL) matter.

It is unbelievable how many people buy expensive DSLR's thinking they will get top notch shots with a better camera when all they really need is a point and shoot. Most that buy DSLR's will never buy other lenses or filters. What a waste of money. When will they wake up and realize they don't need to spend excessive amounts on a camera when they only take it out of the closet for an occasional birthday party or special holiday. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!

I think you are missing the point. The guy spent a bundle on something, then complained about it not having certain features. That tells a person that he bought something he was going to use and didn't even have the sense to research what he was buying. Something that would seem to us lesser mortals as irresponsible use of wealth.
