I'd say the "look was in their eyes" great shots.....The other day I was in Estes Park ....stopped for five or six elk...a kid and his parents were closing in for a p&s closeup. ( this could get ugly) they were lucky ,cause one of them (had that look in his eye)

Guessman... I like the second bluebird also,I thought the first had had texture effect added...hard for me to focus.(maybe cause its 4:00am.) I got tired of packing a tripod around (and by the time i had it set up the reason had left the building) so i bought a monopod.(faster,liter)...I had an Eagle once
flying along side of me driving.(could not believe the wing span)a magnificent bird.

Thanks Greg. That poor ol' first blue bird has been drug around so much I don't know what happened to cause that effect but it seemed to occur in transport to here. I don't know what happened but whatever it was, it wasn't on purpose. Eagles, as you say, are just majestic. Quite an experience you had. Hope I can see more and get closer one of these days but in the wild preferably. I do have a monopod and do use it some but in my experience, shooting these Bluebirds here is not a time to handicap myself with something even remotely stationary. Both of these shots were take sitting in my car. I was driving into Roxborough Park and I tried getting out a couple of times but by the time I could get out the birds were blocks away. It might just be me but these guys were hard to get pictures of.
