Well, I just spent several hours at my computer and with a "live chat" with some poor sole in India, only to learn that if you have the educational version of CS5, you can't upgrade. Somewhere in the back of my mind I remember that. I can rationalize and say that since I have never paid full price for photoshop, It is now my turn, and grin and bare it. Having used the free trial over the weekend, though, I still think it will be a bargain at $19.95 a month.
It also occurred to me that the poor guy in India is working nights, probably has seven kids, and has to put up with us obnoxious Americans.

So if I've got this straight, I've done a little research, if you have a valid version of Student/Teacher CS5 Extended, you can sign up for the single application Photoshop CC for the introductory price of $9.99/month and after one year it will double to $19.99/month?

Adobe has gotten a lot of push back from photographers. I think this is still a fluid situation and things could change a lot over the next year. I've heard many rumors some even coming from Adobe employees. The latest is that Adobe may keep the Photoshop CC single app at $9.99/mo. I've signed up for a year at $9.99/mo and will see what the situation is a year from now.
