Bear2 Loc: Southeast,, MI

We have been out there several times after Labor Day, fly fishing. Fewer people, easier navigating, but unpredictable weather. Rain during some days with snows overnight. We fly into Billings, rent cars and drive to Cook City/Silver Gate. Bear Tooth Pass might be closed at any given time, sometimes just icy. Wear UnderArmor, medium to heavy and multiple layers on top. When it warms during the day remove a layer. Outer layer s/b water and wind resistant. Buy and carry bear spray, you can not take it on a plane.
