While I'm not crazy about such spying either, lets face it, it costs money to put this site up and maintain it. Selling advertising space is what pays the bills and targeted ads are more successful than some random ad could ever hope to be. I guess unless we want to sign up for a paid subscription service to turn off the ads, we will have to live with the modern targeted ads on UHH.

I agree! Advertising isn't bad -- we all use it to select most of what we may want to buy.

How much privacy do you expect on a public forum?

That is from googleadservice.com. I had clicked on one and then I noticed the ad-preference tab. there I had the option to op-out, which I did. Now thoses ads don't follow me around the internet.

I pointed this out several months ago here. We were arguing about Obamacare. I mentioned that I thought it funny that right in the middle of the post was an add about stopping Obamacare. A few of the libs responded, "That's not on my screen."

We are being watched and monitored. Sure, it may have started out innocent such as targeting certain products in advertisement. I tell all the young people to quit with the facebook and twitter crap, but they don't listen. I recently heard my sister-in-law say her company was hiring. She said she thought she had the guy, until she read his facebook page. She didn't go into specifics, and I didn't ask. Point is, if a small company here in Pittsburgh is doing it...........................................

Wait till the unions lose their exemptions.
Oblame-O will be standing besides his supporters, Valerie G., Ole sarge and RixPrix and that Tech (y) guy.

DemocRATs are running ( election year is coming), or dropping out.

His supporters are saying "Could we be next? "

Sorry to bust your bubble, it's called based advertising. Nothing intrusive or wrong with it. Why do you think that there is no charge to be here.
