I just looked at the original at as big as I could get it in iphoto and couldn't find any noise in it. I wonder if it has something to do with the resize and save in pse?

there does seem to be a lot of noise in the darker parts of the photo. What was your ISO? try it again at a really low ISO and maybe with some good natural light pouring in the window. But the composition is really nice.

I shot it at 200.

I am going to shoot it again when I bake the cookies. I did a similar one for Tilde's challenge.

The one I did for the challenge-Fresh

Rule??? What rules. The lighting I can change. I think the Grater with its funky angles is giving me some problems. I am not sure. Composition is my weakest point. I obviously struggle to understand it. Some suggestions?

Husband just looked at it and suggested shooting from an higher angle and putting some space between the cheese and grater. Not sure how to use the rule of thirds on this other than having the picture divided into thirds.

Maybe it I get time tonight I can reshoot.
