my adjustments were all done in photoshop. I adjusted the levels, brightness, contrast and saturation and I added a high pass filter for sharpness and clarity. I did a few more too, and I added some clouds to one!

Honestly, I like the untouched ones best. They look a little more professional. The others just look like picnik or picassa at it's finest.

I would start out with Photoshop Elements 5. It's cheap and you will be able to do wonderful things with it. And you have nice looking kiddies! I love redheads. I have a couple of my own! In the one shot of the boy, you cut off his foot. Try to never cut off limbs that close. I had learned that awhile ago when I did it!

its pretty hard to edit such low res photos without causing damage. if they were high res it would look better.

And I also would recommend Photoshop Elements.

well you're original pictures probably are high res (high resolution.) I think uploading to this site makes them smaller files.

Basically the larger the file the higher quality the image is. You can look at the image size by pixels. A high resolution file is at least 1024 pixels wide, and usually much higher than that. But when I copy a pic off this site and save it, its only 600 pixels wide, and therefore its difficult for me to do much editing without damaging pixels. But I'm sure you're original files are high resolution, I just think this site compresses the file when its uploaded!

I love the second one best! The light is beautiful on his face and the focus is really nice too! I like the first shot, but his face is in a shadow... The third shot is really cute too, I love her pose! Personally, I'm not a big fan of selective coloring, I prefer either color or black and white, but I think the photography is very good!
