What would be helpful is for all sane Christians and Muslims to get together and send the radicals into exile. Making laws like you suggest is nothing more than what the Muslims are doing, like that is going to do anything other than create more violence. But perhaps that is what all of you people want-war. I believe we are in a religious war not of our making nor declaration of such- but rather theirs. This is against western paradigms learned since birth, but it is never the less- true. SO we ignore the whole thing and pretend it isn't so.
The question is- how does one fight a religious war?

When did the Catholic Church burn anyone at the stake in the 19th Century? And, to be historically correct, most of the burning at the stake was done by protestants and civil leaders. The Church had no jurisdiction to burn anyone.
