Okay folks let me see if I can get this thread back on topic although most folks Im sure have found other things to do by now. I understand how some feel about holidays and the commercialization of them, I feel exactly the same way about Valentines Day and Christmas but I also appreciate that some folks really enjoy these holidays and my OP was objecting to a small group of people, in this case the school board, just willy nilly replacing them with something new because in their minds its more PC. Again I dont object to the addition of their more PC day but why do they feel the need to eliminate a tradition that many (maybe not you) still enjoy?
