GeneM Loc: Upstate PA

Besides showing viewers' photos on "Picture Perfect" on Saturday's "Home and Backyard" show, local TV station, WNEP-TV16 has a weekly segment at the end of the newscast every Friday evening. Its called "Photolink Library." The producers of the segment choose contributers' photos based on what they feel is appropriate. There's no specific subject required for submission via the stations Photolink on their web site.

I might add, Photolink is also used by viewers and/or amateur photographers to submit photos or video about breaking news within the station's viewing area which is northeast and central Pennsylvania. These are used by newscasters when the news teams are unable to be on scene or late in getting there.

Photolink is also used by hunters, fishers and all outdoors enthusiasts, including the general public, to submit photos/videos of their activities. Some of those are used during the "People and Places" segment of the "Pennsylvania Outdoor Life" show aired every Sunday evening. In addition to "Picture Perfect," "Photolink Library," and "People and Places," photos are sometimes used by weathercasters during their segment. Choice of which photos to use that are submitted via Photolink is at the descretion of the TV station and program producers.

I'm a frequent contributer to Photolink, as well as several other NE PA photographers who have photos regularly shown on these shows.
