Glad the story had a happy ending; and lovely pictures. It's amazing how attached you can get to your pets. I sat up from midnight till 6-00am one morning with a sick pet chicken but it died on my lap.
Sad times when pets are in trouble. Thanks.

If Topaz colic's again don't let him lay down or roll as he could twist an intestine which would mean expensive surgery or a dead horse.
We tired not to let him lay down but he is 16 1/2 hands and weighs about 1000 pounds so he kind of does what he wants . I kept trying to get a halter on him and get in his way of laying down but he just did it and i had to move fast to from getting crushed. Any way worries are over he is fine. Thanks for your concern and advices.

Lovely shots.
Thanks angler.Taken with iPhone laying down next to him.
Agree with the advice to keep him up and moving. Sometimes the exercise will let them pass a gas bubble or enterolith (intestinal stone) that might be causing obstruction and pain. Sometimes a warm bran mash can help absorb that gas, but often they won't do much more than nibble grass. Lots of home remedies for colic--Bell's Drops, Milk of Magnesia, flavored mineral oil, etc-- but letting them roll almost always guarantees big trouble.
Glad he's okay, but watch him closely.

Thanks for looking gregory he is a good friend. I while back you recommended going to Veira Beach Wetlands What a great piece of advice. Took many shots and had a good time with my daughter who is just getting interested photography. Anyway you said you would look at some of my photos and offer advice. Does that still on the table?
