My horse,Topaz, came in from the pasture and would not eat his morning grain, started pawing the ground ,laid down and then rolled on his side. I sat and laid with him for 2 hours . He started feeling better and sat up and then stood . By afternoon he was he old self and I cancelled the vet. Everything seems fine and the vet was here for annual checkup and he passed with flying colors. Was nervous for awhile.

Glad the story had a happy ending; and lovely pictures. It's amazing how attached you can get to your pets. I sat up from midnight till 6-00am one morning with a sick pet chicken but it died on my lap.

I raised horses and showed them for many many years and had my share of those worrisome hours. Glad your buddy is feeling better.

If Topaz colic's again don't let him lay down or roll as he could twist an intestine which would mean expensive surgery or a dead horse.

May have had a tiny touch of colic.... I'm glad he's better, but keep a close watch.
