Thank you. I have already removed the border.

I prefer the color image, minus the border. Nice composition. 8-)

I think the mono, but not by much; it has more detail in some areas and the petals look much more delicate.
I have judged the photos themselves ann taken the border into account - I find the yellow border very distracting; it draws attention to itself and away from what really matters.

Sorry; I mean't to write, "and not taken the border into account".

Now the flower takes on more importance.
Don't get me wrong though; I nearly always put a border round my print images, but try to make one that complements the image.

I don't get it. That border looked perfect to me. It was simple and elegant. I thought it complimented the flower perfectly on the monochrome shot. I am curious what type of border are you thinking of?

Nothing to get Ms Nightski, folks just see things differently at times, it doesn't mean one way is definitely right or wrong.

The mono was OK; it was the colour one whichI found distracting.
The border colours are often sampled from the image using the Eyedropper. There are, in fact, three borders, two dark, one light; the inner one is very narrow, only one or two pixels wide (depending on the print size); it is barely noticeable, but it does make a difference

Is it a rule or law ? BTW the color of inner part in my frame the same as color of petals, I used the eye dropper.

Its an interesting subject, the adding of borders MMC. Do you remember the Dark Room Days, when you had a print in your hand and then decided how to MOUNT it. Some pictures lent themselves to board mounting, then a small pencil line drawn round and some to double board mounting to create a bevel. Its interesting how people see it now days with digital. I guess it is as always a matter of personal choice?
