I vote B&W. The petals are more pronounced and the range of tones keeps my eye moving over the whole image. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Sorry, I have to break the trend and go with color. Especially with the yellow trim you added to the border, both it and the petals just add to each other in my opinion.

Not like me at all. short repy.

The colour one is a good photograph of a plant, the monochrome one is a good artistic work of a plant

There is also a great more detail in the mono one

I tend to ignore borders the subject is the image not the border, eliminate borders

I was going to disagree with the majority on this one, since I like the color rendition. But then, like so many of mine, it's just another flower picture. But as JR1 mentioned the monochrome version now has more artistic merit.
