I am. I believe it gets me a little better DoF and with the diopter lens out front I have a longer distance to the End of my 100mm lens. It's designed to fit down Inside the barrel of your lens. I'm still only several inches from the end of the diopter to subject, but longer from my macro lens if that makes since.

So, you believe reversing the add-on lens increases your Working Distance as well as magnification?

No, the working distance to the end of my 100mm lens, not the end of the DCR-250. Check out my set up and it will make since. The DCR-250 is designed to go down the barrel of the macro lens, by turning the lens around and mounting backwards I have more distance to end of macro lens, not the DCR-250, this always stays the same. But the thickness of the DCR-250 is an extra 1 1/2 inch, keeping my camera body, and my diffuser back this extra 1 1/2 inch.

I have viewed your set-up: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-32754-4.html#1826300 .
What is the advantage or reversed add-on over standard add-on?
