If we are really digging deeply for an answer to this, imposing economic sanctions on them as we have done isn't exactly pleasing them. We have to admit that.

When the school-yard bully (or bully wanna-be) starts stomping around the playground, you have the options of either cowering in a corner, ignoring the bully and hope he picks on someone else, or standing up to him.
Kim Jong-un has decided to make the United States the enemy of North Korea, not because of anything we have done to North Korea, but because he knows we will help South Korea stand in the way of his invasion (and make no mistake, if we were to pull forces completely out of South Korea the invasion would start within 72 hours of their departure). We have fired no shots nor thrown any punches. We have simply let the bully know we will not tolerate his behavior on the playground.

As an Australian, rather than being an American (no disrespect intended), I am an outsider. As a consequence my viewpoint is going to be different. I am well aware of the controversial nature of what I am proposing which is simply this; If I recognise when people don't like me, I take a look at myself. My point is that if nations did the same, we might well get a better result. It's called taking responsibility. Who then is going to suffer the most when sanctions are applied (ie; Nth Korea). The innocent population. Just as in war, it is they/we (the majority) that pay the price, not the minority in 'power'. Applying sanctions causes hardship to the majority, and supports the miniscule minority, the very people it's supposed to affect. There are 7 billion of us. Pawns for the minority of psycopaths that 'lead' us. When are we going to wake up?
