It's me again, phlousberg. Where in Florida did you take your pictures? If you are a regular visitor to Florida - or not - there are two oustanding parks in the Ft. Myers area: Ding Darling's on Sanibel Island and Corkscrew Swamp east of Ft. Myers. Each has wonderful photo opportunities for your ability.
Hi phlousberg
These shots and those above were taken at Arthur R Marshall Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge run by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Some UHH members were kind enough to give me a list of places within easy driving distance of Ft Lauderdale. In the event I was severely restricted in the time available. All being well I hope to return to Fl next year and would love to visit the sites you suggest and thank you for taking the time to do that.

Not familiar with Fl snakes to treated them all with respect!
Thanks angler
I still have a long way to go to match your ability at shooting those fast moving gulls that you post on here so I very much appreciate the comment.

Glad you enjoyed your trip to Florida. We natives have our own little spot of paradise and you are welcome anytime. Post some more images. Yes, leave the snakes alone.
Thanks Ol' Frank
Appreciate you looking. Yes, I loved it. I also met some really lovely people who clearly enjoy their environment. I'll be back.

Wow, that is a big beast!
I don't think they grow this big in the wild, somewhere around 15' nose to tail......
just be carful of snakes in or near the water it could be a poisonous water moccasin...

Thanks. 15' nose to tail sounds pretty big to me. :) Always very cautious about snakes.
