Just returned from the Sunshine State and had a quick look through one of several cards that I filled and picked out a couple of shots.

As a resident of Florida, I find Florida at least has good bird photo opportunitis. Good shots. Here is one of Great Blue Heron whose diet is not so delicate: that's a rabbit!
Rabbit dunked in water before GB Heron swllows, presumbably to lubricate rabbit's fur.

No, I have been travelling to Florida probably at least once a year since my boys were children (now in their mid 30s). I used to do the usual stuff with them, alligator farms, airboat rides etc, but I bought my first DSLR about nine months ago so really wanted to capture shots of these animals in their natural habitat.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. You live in a beautiful part of the world. Could have spent much more time with the camera but I could not leave my other half stuck by the pool. Although she is very patient with me she does not share my enthusiasm for nature, much more at home in the Mall.

Glad you had a good time. At least you did get out for a while. That is one good thing in Florida, you don't have to go too far to see wildlife
