Can a Nikon D200 be tethered directly to a laptop to see the picture you just shot? If so, how do you do it? Thanks in advance for your responce. tradbow

You might want to try DYIphotobits to tether your camera.

www.diyphotobits.com

I don't know if it will work with a D200 or not, but I suspect it will. It works fine with my D3000, D5000 and D90.

It is worth a shot, it is FREE.

Hope it helps.

When you tether to a laptop is this only for viewing or does it save a copy at the same time to the laptop?

I use a free program called DYIphotobits.
Yes it will save you photo to a folder in your computer automatically.

You can also change most of your camera settings and take the shot right from your computer and not have to touch the camera.

Thanks, I didn't use "Quote Reply" when I answered you. I'm new to the forum.
