My previous topic questions brought out software suggestions that included Capture NX D. Going to Nikon's web site to download, they discussed Capture, however the link to do so downloaded Nikon Studio. That apparently over wrote Nikon NX so now i have Studio, not Capture NX. Is this latest update and name change or ???

Yes that works, however with all downloaded as nef to post process with software. If I took nef and jpg my editing would perhaps be more detailed.

Understand that the .net presents better and more options to post process, if needed before converting to an email attachment, TV slide show, etc. The .nef would be used for a print.

What program do you use to batch convert .nef to .jpg. I don't have Adobe anymore.

Cables are cheap and you can use your current chargers. Just spec the C or B at each end of the cable & try Cables to Go.

Ah yes the cloud. Wonder why many companies want your financial data, pictures, etc etc for a very low price.

My answer is in their Privacy Statement that can be many pages long i.e. Intuit. A good attorney can read and form an opinion that probably includes that they now have "joint ownership" of what they are storing. AND they can sell the data to the Data Mining companies. All of course without your name attached. Yea right.

That is why my Income Tax is not transmitted over the internet by Intuit. Intuit that wants all of Quickbooks data in their cloud and not on your personal hard drive. The data lives on in the cloud.

The pictures are in various file folders i.e. 2008-12-25 Christmas, 1984-05-15 Vacation in Door County, etc.

My idea is to copy selected pictures from each folder into a "sort" folder that allows me arrange the pictures to better tell the story. I have quite a number of folders to view and select the most "important" pictures. When the selection process is finished, then I can rename the pictures' file names.

Also if the sort folder allows post processing of a picture by another program i.e. RAW to JPG saving in the sorted place that would be a plus.

Seeking a program to select random pictures, copy each into a new folder, and arrange into a new sort order without changing their file name. Once into the new folder, arrange and into my selected sequence/order.

My Border Collies favorite toy is the Hedgehog, exactly the same as yours. Trooper's treatment of the toy is pouncing, and then doing what a gator does with their prey. Had to sew on its legs several times.

My Panasonic phone connected to Ooma (internet) has a blocked number memory, that is now full. I check the incoming number that all too often begins with a "V." Not a valid call.

Also if i do answer a call and hear a "boop" like sound - I am being handed off to a live scammer. I immediately hang up. Or, if I have time I wait for the live voice and after they give their short speel including my first name, I ask "Does your mother know you are trying to cheat people for a living?" "Shame!" They reward me by hanging up.
