Thanks again. That last post was really the answer i was looking for, but had assumed with some confidence.
Thanks to all for inputs.
Steve Perry's Back Button AF book refers to an AF-C Priority Selection mode for the D5xxx series cameras. Have searched the Custom Menu(s) on my D5000 thoroughly with no success. I'm guessing that I don't need to be concerned, but I wonder if anyone can suggest whether or not Steve missed something in his excellent guide. ?? Is there another way of controlling priority selection for the AF-C mode in D5000 cameras? Or is the "Release" selection just a default?
Thanks.
Thanks for all the information.
OK, thanks. I note that it's different in Canon photos. I think it's not so simple.
Hmmm. Nothing replied in the "REPLY" post.
When I shoot both NEF and JPEG with my NIKON D5000, I notice that the NEF images are underexposed compared to the JPEG image for the same shot. Any advice on what could cause that? How to correct?
Beautiful!! Imagine how fortunate we are to live now, as we come to understand what the heck is going on out there in the cosmos. Imagine the generations of people who've stood in awe of the night sky and the Milky Way, wondering about it all without a chance of knowing. We can even imagine the possibility now of heading off for the nearest exo-planet system. I wish I could live another 100 years.
I believe that I have. My late daughter, Cathy, was hapa (half Asian/half Caucasian). As an elfin-faced child of about eight, she dressed for Halloween with cute, pointed ears I had made. I photographed her face in profile with lucky, perfect lighting. The result was wonderful.
Twenty years ago, Cathy died at 21, a lovely and bright young lady. I have never gotten over losing her. To my never-ending grief, somehow I lost the negative and prints of that, my best photo.
