I agree, but I want to master manual in digital as I did decades ago with silver! Even so I'll use the aut9matioj as appropriate, I don't spurn tools and resources.

I have a class with Sergio Tuesday and I will ask him to teach me to use both cameras on manual with auto setting of ISO. (What did ASA for "film" speed do to be exiled in favor of ISO?) I only had manual for two decades, starting in the early fifties.

I find my Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III Mirrorless Digital pretty compact, even with a 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 EZ Lens, a 40-150mm f/4.0-5.6 R Lens, and a 75mm fixed f 1.8 lens for portraits. They all fit in the Olympus case. (If I want extreme telephoto, I use my Nikon Coolpix P900 with its 83X optical zoom (equiv. 24mm to 2,000mm.) I find it bulky but valuable when I need a long lens.

In silver days, I used pre-war Exactas, a Graflex 4X5 SLR, Speed Graphics (4 X 5 & 2.25 X 3.5") sheet film cameras, and a host of used roll film cameras including a Super Ikonta C, a Practisix 120, etc. -- All Manual.
Later I had a Canon AE-1 and a Canon A1 with an f 1.2 58mm lens, auto exposure. I never needed formal lessons, just camera clubs & knowledgeable friends.
Now I have a Nikon Coolpix P900 for telephoto requirements (equiv., 24mm-2,000mm optical zoom) and an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III Mirrorless with three lenses. I'm still learning to use them with lessons from a local expert and Nikon and Olympus customer service lines.
Patience & determination will get the job done, I hope!

Unfortunately, Klipon does not have any lenses of adapters that work with my Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III. Thanks for trying.

Thanks. I tried to send a query to Olympus, but, as usual, their website didn't let me, "Server Failure, error 500", whatever that means. I'll call them later today and I'll check some of the other sources you listed.

I would like to find out if someone knows of Tilt-Shift lenses that will function with my Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III mirrorless digital camera. So far, I have failed to find information on the Olympus, B&H, and Amazon web sites.

Even better, I read and loved Kipling's The Gods of the Copybook Headings (1919) so much that I committed it to memory in the late 1970s:

AS I PASS through my incarnations in every age and race,
I make my proper prostrations to the Gods of the Market Place.
Peering through reverent fingers I watch them flourish and fall,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings, I notice, outlast them all.

We were living in trees when they met us. They showed us each in turn
That Water would certainly wet us, as Fire would certainly burn:
But we found them lacking in Uplift, Vision and Breadth of Mind,
So we left them to teach the Gorillas while we followed the March of Mankind.

We moved as the Spirit listed. They never altered their pace,
Being neither cloud nor wind-borne like the Gods of the Market Place,
But they always caught up with our progress, and presently word would come
That a tribe had been wiped off its icefield, or the lights had gone out in Rome.

With the Hopes that our World is built on they were utterly out of touch,
They denied that the Moon was Stilton; they denied she was even Dutch;
They denied that Wishes were Horses; they denied that a Pig had Wings;
So we worshipped the Gods of the Market Who promised these beautiful things.

When the Cambrian measureswere forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "Stick to the Devil you know."

On the first Feminian Sandstones we were promised the Fuller Life
(Which started by loving our neighbour and ended by loving his wife)
Till our women had no more children and the men lost reason and faith,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "The Wages of Sin is Death."

In the Carboniferous Epoch we were promised abundance for all,
By robbing selected Peter to pay for collective Paul;
But, though we had plenty of money, there was nothing our money could buy,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "If you don't work you die."

Then the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to believe it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.

As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;

And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will bum,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return.

I just got Luminar and, when I learn it, I think I'll like it. Both for the available tutorial videos and for having avoiding Adobe's predatory licensing prices. I even switched to Nuance Power PDF Advanced and dumped Acrobat. All-in-all, I take some pride in having taken action instead of just whining; lighting a candle beats cursing the darkness seven ways from Sunday.

I want to put forth a question about cold weather photography: Will an underwater housing protect a camera from exposure to cold weather and upon returning to a heated building, from condensation?

Back in the film days, mid-50s to 80s, I used Agfa Isopan (ASA 25) for B&W portraits, Isopan (ASA 1600) for night shots in available light, and Ektachrome, Kodacolor, Ektacolor, and Agfachrome of various ASA ratings for color work. Now, with digital, I can change ISO (nee ASA) between frames rather than between rolls, something of a mixed blessing since I still haven't mastered Luminar, but I hope I'll get it before the cancer gets me!

As I posted elsewhere, I think Luminar 2018 seems as powerful, friendlier, and, at $69., preferable to Adobe's abusive subscription-only control-freak policy. Chuck

Well, I just installed Luminar 2018 ($69.00) and I think it will do the job. As I learn and use it, I'll report my experiences to this group.

Elements 18 is fine for RAW too. The benefits of LR are all the tools in the software, both editing and library management, and an overall approach on editing efficiency.

Yes, but that means dealing with the Adobe Plantation. Any recommended alternatives?
