When I started out with my first SLR, I shot Panatomic X for most photos, and Kodachrome ASA 25 for color. I figured those two would last forever.

What a difference 50 years makes.

You're kidding, that is new to any of you. I've known the lyrics to that song since around 1974 and I don't even have the album that it is on. Lots of radio play! But, which detail, the song is essentially 3:37 long???

Back in the old days I would buy Panatomic-X and Tri-X in 100-foot rolls and make my own 35mm canisters at any exposure count I wanted. Did all this in a dark room.

Ah yes I remember those days. I still use those canisters to store nuts and bolts etc.

He also changed the words when everyone started colorizing B&W, from everything looks worse in B&W to everything looks better in B&W.

I used Pan X as well. Pushed it to 400 and used Diafine. I am looking at grainless 8X10's on my B&W wall as we speak. But Mama did take away his Kodachrome. He had a Nikon camera and love to take photographs. A classic tune.

I thought the lyrics change was to discourage drug use. Probably, none of the above. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kodachrome_song

Same. I had heavy-duty reusable cassettes for my Nikon. I also worked in a processing lab. We loaded Kodak Plus-X from 1000 ft rolls into Ansco cassettes. They were used by Bell Telephone's automatic cameras to take pictures of meters that measured phone trunk traffic. We also developed their film and repaired their cameras. Could overhaul a shutter with all new parts in about six minutes.

OK, you need to be more specific. My results for the search on Google came up with a bunch of different renditions. The first was only 3:33 long, so I never got to 3:38. Please post the actual link to which you are referring.
