I don't want to get into the back and forth discussion at all. All I want to say is that my old eyes see a second climber a bit below the other. I might be wrong, wouldn't be the first or the last time!!
I enjoy all the images you post. They are consistently amazing to me. This one is extra special with the pollen that looks like fuzzy dots until you magnify the download to its maximum. I consider your images a beautiful form of art and appreciate that you share it with all of us. Thank you!!
Very nice, and I agree with others about this being a #1 in my book! I don't recall ever having seen anything like the bubbles in that splash near the hands. I just might be weird but those bubbles just fascinate me.
I'm no expert but the original is the one I prefer. Even with Grandmas face a little dark the babies face is bright and stands out, which I think Grandma would like. In my opinion some cropping to emphasize the two subjects would improve things.
Normally the things that I'm interested in are not really covered by a "normal" lens. I carry a 70-300mm or the 24-120mm that was bundled with my D810 when I got it. Both are sharp and serve me well for the things I happen on.
It is really ironic that some of you worry about the fate of an earwig. I wish I would never see another one as long as I live. As soon as the weather warms up they will be invading again. The only creatures that I know that really like them are the lizards that inhabit our yard!! We can't spray the earwigs because it will kill off the lizards. I know, I'm a grumpy old man!
They are all nice but I like #3. The reason I chose 3 is that the out of focus part is distracting to me in the first two. I know that it can't be removed, but it looks better as if attached to the bottom of the image to me.
Great shot!! The hawk looks a bit large for a Coopers Hawk in comparison with the Cattle Egret. Could this be a Goshawk? I know the normal range for the Goshawk is quite a bit north of your location, but the east coast weather has been pretty nasty. I had a job for several years that required that I work with falconers and I learned that they would have some very exotic raptors. It would be interesting to see if this bird had any sign leather on its legs.
