I understand that a release is written permission. So no, I am not that ignorant. I am questioning your ethics, and finding them wanting. I have quite a few nude shots of several current or past friends, some are quite good, but I would never publish them without their permission. Preferably with an agreement that was mutually beneficial.

I'm actually on the phone with one of them right now, at 60 she is still drop dead gorgeous, but I'd rather have her as a friend. She knows I have the images - so does she - in fact she'd be happy to pose for more, I just asked her, without a model release, and she said sure - but she knows that nothing goes anywhere without her permission. I like her as a friend and we trust each other.

Does that help describe my perspective on the issue?

No, it does not at all. She is not his "friend" your analogy is totally bogus.
I think it may be possible you are that ignorant, at least based on that statement.

And how much did you pay your friends for the release?

Hey there Los-Angles-Shooter. Don't know if you baited these folks to cause this firestorm of judgement and opinion but if you did you definitely succeeded. If you didn't please don't waste your time with them. Most of the reply's actually didn't answer the question you asked anyway. Awhile back I did bait them with a question that required a very simple direct answer and you should have seen all the non-answers and opinions in the reply's. Finally, after others chased their tails and went off on tangents, only one of the respondents answered my original question. It was a hoot to read each one tangle up the original question with innuendo, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed reading how others voiced opinions and questioned your morals, ethics and such. Haven't had such a good laugh in a long time. Arm chair lawyers are really funny! Anyway, whatever you do with the pic I hope you don't get in trouble. Merry Christmas and good shooting to you

If you were shooting RAW and had exposed less, you would have detail in the whole scene, and could have selectively adjusted parts.
I would say it is just plain over exposed.
Once you max out the ADC, it's over.

To be honest, the sky and surrounding area is so blown out, it will be hard to get any detail back.
That the real problem, over exposed. That's what ETTR will get ya.

this was done with layers. The problem with your photo will selecting the sky in the branches, which is what you need to do. Fussy.

I lead Photo Safaris in Juneau, Alaska in the summer for people on cruise ships. The biggest problem I see, almost everyday, is too much gear. Often my guests with two or three cameras and a bag take less pictures than than most of the folks with phones. Too much fiddling around. Go lean and mean. One camera, a backup if you want (but I wouldn't carry it everywhere), a low profile bag with another lens or two. It's too bad you can't do the 18-300. That and a 12-24 and my fisheye is my go-to, walk around on vacation, setup. Sometimes I'll swap the fisheye for a fast 35 1.8, or a 60mm marco. Be security aware. Harder to do with three cameras and a bag.

That's been my experience as well - less is more. I take more photos when I have less stuff. I stop using my "huuugh" backpack case - and made myself whittle it down to the bare necessities. 9 times out 10 I don't do a lens change - too fiddly.

Well, you need enough of a charge to finish the transfer - since it is read only, no harm done if it powers down in the middle.
I do pull sd cards when I am at my desktop as it has an SD card reader. However, I have not got an XQD card readers, so those I pull of with USB.
No camera I have would need a nearly charged battery to transfer the files.
That said I have messed up and left the camera on and discharged the battery.
It's not horrible advice, How much did he want for the card reader :-)

As to the bold-faced slur, you are lying outright. If you care to back your defamatory lies with $10,000, do so. And in the meantime, you may wish to moderate your language.

Nice, but I stand by it. Go for it goof ball, I double dare you.

Kuzano, Wow, I am glad that I read your post because I always run a USB cable from my D750 to the computer to transfer my images. I use the cable that came in the box with the camera. I guess I really should take the SD card from the camera and insert it into the computer card reader and proceed from there. ~FiddleMaker

It's complete BS. There is nothing wrong with using the USB cable.

Since you have no idea what he looks like, you have a LONG wait.
With what's going on in the country right now, do you really think this would make even the local news?
You should check "Los-Angeles-Shooter" post history - he is a pro alright - a pro troll and you guys are such big suckers for it.
He made this whole thing up just to watch you guys dance.
