How do I make money from a legit celebrity nude?
I have acquired the original b&w negative. The (female) subject is now a movie star. The photo, a nude, was made in 1985 when the woman turned 19. (Well before she became famous). Along with the negative, I also now own the model release and copyright and any other rights.
I would like to make some bucks, but this situation is new to me.
- Limited edition prints?
- Screen image onto T-shirts?
- License image for posters?
I’d appreciate suggestions, and pointers to useful articles and sites.
Note: I do not expect opposition nor cooperation from the celebrity.
Sell it back to the person it was taken of, don't as too much they might you are looking to black mail her.
Get a job and forget exposing the lady. Do you need money that bad?

How do I make money from a legit celebrity nude? b... (
show quote)
Would you appreciate your nude photo, legit or not, exposed years after you had it shot? Be a decent human being and send the photo and negatives to the person and let her keep the situation private. Only someone very unethical would exploit this situation, just my opinion, but no amount of money would justify the embarrassment you may cause.

Expect a lawsuit. Releases are not transferable as far as I now.
Screen Images on T-Shirts? I can't imagine any famous person who would want that, being just 19 years old at the time.
Send the negative to me. I will do what is appropriate.
Of note... The poster is one of sanctimonious posters in the attic....

Besides that, how many people are going to go out in public with a nude photo on their shirt?
Their is a good chance you are in for a rat's nest of trouble. And the point that the release might not be transferable is valid.
A photo taken of a 19 year old is something you might think of as unethical to try and make money off of it. Their are tons
of sexy photos, and sex of movie stars today. Just google celebrity nudes and see what comes up. And with the climate of
exploitation and harassment watch out that you dont get in big trouble.

They ARE assignable, and routinely are.
Good luck. I hope you get sued to hell and back.
You never struck me as being decent. You just proved me right with this thread.

For shame - back to the attic.

Releases typically have language controlling whether the release is transferrable.
All right, who left the door to the attic unlocked?
