I'm so new to photography and I would love to know how you did this. Beautiful colors, I love them.
I love the little black marking on his nose in the shape of a heart.
Hello all, I'm still trying to get the hang of my action shots, but they are coming along. Meet our newest addition "Jake." He is our first stud colt of the year and he is into everything. He loves to run and play and if you're not watching he will kick-out while playing with you. My challenge is to get him to quit that really quick. He has gotten his nose spatted for biting, but he figured out quick that was not nice.
I'm loving my new camera and even more-so I'm loving learning how to use it. Comments and suggestions are welcome. Hope you all are doing well.
Yes, he's quite a character...and nosey...
Just a few, hope you enjoy and comments and suggestions welcome
Oh my, those are great pictures. I LOVE rodeos and i hope to capture more pictures at them to post. I have not quite figured out the action shots yet, but i will. I'm not sure where Chama is, but I was raised in Capitan, Ruidoso and Carlsbad, NM.
Thank you for all the encouragement. I will definitely check out that website Longshadow. Samantha90, you're not far from me...
Pat, Kueckelhan Ranch Rodeo in Bonham, Texas. I would love to see some of your shots...
Hello All,
My name is Rhonda and this is my first time on a forum like this. I took the opportunity of joining to hopefully learn from some of you. I take pictures for the fun of it and hopefully I will be able to make a hobby out of it. I am a small town Texas girl who loves horses, rodeos, nature and well just about anything nature. I absolutely love covered bridges, but unfortunately we do not have many of those in Texas. So if you have any covered bridges where you live I would love to see some pictures of them. I was at a local rodeo with a friends camera and just started taking pictures. My husband saw how much fun I had so he got me a Canon Rebel T6 for Christmas. I have yet to dive into the manual to learn about it as I am a little more stubborn than that as I just like to turn the knobs and capture my portrait as best as I can. I am a mother of two grown children and a grandmother of one, fixing to be two in May. I am open to constructive criticism so please be nice, but honest.
The first picture is of my horses on our place. We just let out the alpha horse from being penned up for a month so he had to reestablish the pecking order in the herd. I fell in love with the second picture of my alpha horse and tried my hand at making it a black and white. We had a local rodeo close to where I live and I just started taking pictures of everything that caught my eye. Some of these will end up on my wall and some not. Hope you enjoy and comments and suggestions are welcome.
