Any lens that you use on your D3200 must have the focus motor in the lens to auto focus. Also, have you tried using Live VI on your intended subject?ew to focus

Try FOTOR. Free and has a lot going for it. Also as previously stated try PICASSA

Has anyone used Video Camera Repair? My Nikon D7100 has impact damage caused by me tripping and falling. I sent them the symptoms that I am having and they gave an estimate of $189.00 The images look fuzzy and the aperture select is sluggish.

I have been following the discussions, and have even contributed 2 topics in the past. I am on a limited budget, I have a Tamron 70-300mm, but want a little more reach for not a lot of money. I have been looking online at 500mm, & 600mm mirror lenses. I know that I will have to use manual mode with this type of lens. My question is, are the worth the money?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

I have some old Canon FD & FL lenses from my 35mm film days, that I have used on my Nikon D3300 , by using a Fotodiox adapter. I do have to use manual mode on the camera, but it will focus to infinity. I do not have metering with this setup, but I use an app on my cell phone called Lightmeter with good results. Also have to focus manually, but that was what I was doing in film days

Yes, Nikon D3300 does not support Focus Fine Tuning. However several of the sites gave me a better idea of what is involved. Thanks to everyone for responding.

I have been following the discussions about fine tuning the focus of lenses and camera bodies. Pardon my ignorance, but can someone give a simple description of what this involves. I have a Nikon D3300, with the kit lenses, 18-55 and 55 - 200. Also have lenses from my 35 mm film days, Canon FD & FL types, that I use on my Nikon with a FotoDiox converter.

Thanks for the reply. My adapter does have the optical element, so I can focus to infinity

I have several lenses from my film days that I want to use on my Nikon D3300. They are Canon FL mount, but I have an adapter that will let me mount them on my Nikon. I have a Sigma 135 mm F1.8, and a Solgar 90 - 230 zoom. My question is, has anyone done this, and what results can I expect. Also have the Canon 50 mm F 1.8, and Canon 35 mm. I know that I will have to shoot in manual when using the lenses. Thanks

Thanks to all who replied. You have given me a lot to consider. Now if only that problem with color blindness could be fixed

I am new to this forum, but have been following your remarks. I am recently retired, getting back to photography, and am using a Nikon D3300. As I am on a somewhat limited budget, was wondering what is the best free editing software to be used on a Windows 10 laptop. I will not be doing major colorizing as I am color blind in red & green, but just want be able to crop & adjust lighting. Thanks for any help you can provide

Does anyone know the trigger voltage for a honeywell strobonar 600 flash? I have one and would like to use it with my Nikon D3300 DSLR using the Nikon AS 15 to synch the camera and flash. Has anyone tried this, and if so, did it work?
