I appreciate that. As you know, it was, is a play on words.

I invested a lot of time tonight organizing the leftovers, b-rolls, chop cards, erasable moments, etc. . and the drain files. Procrastination had infected my workflow and something had to be done. Taking that time to manage, prioritize the images and give them certain specific categories, really gave me a refresh. I support you all who take better care of your files than I do. Anyone, please share any techniques with us about filing, storage, external hard drives, etc. . . anything that you use to help with the efficiency of and for your workflow. SD cards, Lightroom, other post-production alternatives.

Thank you, sir. Asus approved! As I'll ever be able to stick to a budget, I will most likely have to push it.

I'm currently using an Apple Thunder 27" and love it. I got burned on LG and other cheaper displays that lack the detail I need. The reason for another screen is purely to have the addition in a slowly growing office. I'm trying to budget $500 delivered to my door and keep scratching my head about which direction to go without seeing the images in person. Any of you UHH'ers have some experience to help advise? Hopefully y'all can help narrow my search. Thank you kindly.

The newer Canon Rebel Series are all great. The models you mentioned are all crop sensors, not crap, just that there are different perspectives with 1.6 Find a budget for the lenses, not so much the body. I carry a 6d and T5i. Enjoy and shoot daily.

So, very, sensitive.

Why go above 800? I get it, the beloved triangle, varied as it is. DOF? SS? 1600, okay, but going into noise? However, todays dslr, mirrorless, etc... we can reach upwards of 234,000 upon our sensors. I am really curious as to how many uhh'ers go high in their iso count, and for what reason.

This is a peaceful question please

Thank you all for the kind responses. This is exactly the information I was looking for. I'm sorry that I didn't mention what gear I carry. I use the Peak Design Capture Pro and Clutch with my Canon 6D on hip attached to my belt. I have the Field Pouch for two small lenses, batteries and memory cards. I need to retire my old messenger sling bag that I carry my T5i, 75-300mm, 18mm wide, notebook, phone, lens kit, small etcs...It just looks like it is about to give out on me. So I'll need something to hold all of that.

I'm curious what bag, backpack, hard shell or soft, do you use for everyday carry from A to B? I'm looking at the Peak Design Everyday Messenger but the price is a bit steep, unless someone reading this is absolutely blown away by it. I am looking for protection, functionality, strength (well built), comfortable for the hike in/out, and a well deserved price. Again, just a daily carry. Thanks Hogs!!

Hello friend and fellow uhh'er. Terrific topic. Nikon D3400 is an amazing camera (I don't own one, shot one for a weekend). Mazda Miata vs. Ferrari Pininfarina? Both drive excellent, one is this, the other is that. Your D3400 will love your new investment, new lenses that give you the range you want and the clarity you desire. Invest in new glass my friend. 24.2 MP? Let the light shine on in!!

Hey Hhoggers! I am scheduled to take some photos at a restaurant patio tonight for the business' promotional fodder. Does anyone have a link for a quick release form if someone asks? Or should I use common street photography etiquette and compliment, ask for email to send them that nice photo of them, offer to delete the photo immediately? All helpful info is greatly appreciated.

Thank you all!

Both perform extremely well, no question about that. With all of the technology in these bodies, it's a close finish in a lot of ways. I chose Canon from the beginning, and then invested in better lenses, and then spent more on lenses, etc. You get my drift. I think the divide between Nikon & Canon is about preference from the get go. There really is no viable reason to switch, to me.

Carry on and check baggage approved for camera, monopod, tripod, lens, film, selfie stick. I would NEVER check my gear. Pack accordingly, always check in with TSA day of travel, and check in with the airline you will be taking the day of travel (they have individual rules and guidelines). Biggest issue is lithium batteries. Have fun!

I own both. Canon T5i is my lightweight go to for Behind The Scene shots, video and if I'm worried about my gear (climbing, boats, etc). Excellent for everything, super long battery life. With this crop sensor, you have to remember the focal distance relative to the lens you are using. Math always gets in the way. Basically you get more reach. I just shoot. My 6D is considered to be my 'Big Boy' camera (yes, I'm 44). I baby this one because the images I get are far better than T5i, super reliable, and is still light weight. I shoot live stage concerts and the low light capability is superb. So, when you ask about the difference it comes down to what you can afford, what do you want to do with the images (size), what is your patience level, hobby or pro. Crop sensors are an excellent introduction to photography, still produce great DPI, and can work well with pro lenses. You can spend $10,000 on gear and still have no idea how to compose a photo. It's digital. Go shoot until you find your groove and the work you put in will help you decide. Oh yeah, the patience part. Slow down and think about it. Have fun.
