Partial Eclipse in Arizona with UFO? What are we seeing "flash back" "double exposure" "out of body experience"

I used my spouses camera "Canon Power Shot SD630" to take this photo of the partial eclipse in Arizona. I stood off to the side and had protective eyewear on when taking this photo at the maximum eclipse time for Arizona.

No, I didn't fry my spouses camera.

First blog I have ever been a member of. Wife and I love nature and taking pictures. We have traveled a lot, but settled down in Arizona after retiring from the military. I've had too many different cameras and now looking at a Canon Rebel EOS T6i. I want something that will allow me to take continuous pictures of wildlife or nature as it happens. My son has a T3i and it just zips off pictures so quickly. I am looking for help / advice / recommendations / suggestions on the time of camera I should be looking at for nature / outdoor pictures and for taking pictures of my six grandkids. How many lenses should I look at getting and sizes. I am a novice but want (NEED) to get better. Thanks for any and all help.

Welcome to UHH. I also live in Arizona, up in Fountain Hills where there is a lot of nature to photograph. I purchase the Nikon D5500 camera over a year ago because I was a novice also. I needed a camera that would take the guess work out of taking photos. Till I learn the creative control of the camera and all the setting. I purchased Nikon D5500 for Dummies book which I learned a lot from, but I'm still learning. At first I just used the auto setting in the sports mode. I have purchase many lens. That can be addicting part of photography. I set up a blog site so my friends and family can view my photos and can keep track of what I'm up too. There is a photo club that meets once a month up here, where the guys are more then helpful. Enjoy your retirement and your new found hobby. "Sonoran Desert toads are active from late May to September, though principally during the summer rainy season."
It has been raining for three day straight, no end in sight. It's the Monsoon season & Sonoran Desert Toad season.
You can tell when they start showing up during the night. "The male’s call is weak, sounding somewhat like a ferryboat whistle".
They love pools and ponds to lay their eggs. They can make a mess!

According to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum:

“Sonoran Desert toads feed upon a variety of insects throughout their lives. Adults eat primarily beetles, although large individuals will occasionally eat small vertebrates including other toads. Sonoran Desert toads are active from late May to September, though principally during the summer rainy season. They are nocturnal during the hot summer months. The male’s call is weak, sounding somewhat like a ferryboat whistle. Eggs are laid in temporary rain pools and permanent ponds. Larvae metamorphose after 6 to 10 weeks. This species lives at least 10 years, and perhaps as many as 20 years.”

A defensive milky neurotoxin venom can be released from the parotid gland behind the eyes and similar organs on the legs. The venom is potent enough to kill a large dog, should the dog grab a toad. Symptoms of envenomation include foaming at the mouth, drunken gait, confusion, vomiting, diarrhea, or complete collapse. There is no antitoxin.

The Arizona Desert Toad kills more dogs than rattle snakes in Phoenix during the monsoon season. Beware!

Photo taken with the Power Shot SD630 camera. Didn't have my Nikon D5500 at the time.

Greeting from Arizona,

With some technical assistance this past week we now have Fountain Hills Photos "Out & About" up and running for everyone to view.

I've taken a lot of photos over the last 6 months. Some may be of interest to some people.
I started a web (blog) site where a lot of my photos are available to my family and friends to view.
Even have a link back to Ugly Hedgehog Photography Forum (as seen below)

I call it Fountain Hills Photos "Out & About" https://fountainhillsphotos.blogspot.com

It has been 118 degrees here in Arizona this last week, so I'm inside rather than "Out and About" taking photos.
I may as well sit next to a computer and build a web (blog) site in air conditioning with a cool drink.

"Your more than likely seen some of my photos in the Fountain Hills Times, in the Fountain Sprouts section of the paper.
These were photos of the Bobcats, Ravens, Quail, and Butterflies. I also belong to the Ugly Hedgehog Photography Forum
where some of the most talented photographers in the world share advice.
That is where I fine my answers to my questions, share my photos and fine advice".

Stay Cool!

We had a pair of bobcats come across our back yard last fall. I guess that is when they pair up to mate. Haven't seen any young one's yet.
Still waiting to take that photo.

Thank you, you were correct. My book did't do it justest. My photo is much better than the ones I pulled up on internet.

I guess there is three common pigment types:
Melanins (browns, blacks, some yellows)
Carotenoids (some reds and yellows)
Porphyrins (some reds or browns).

Nice shots! I like your blog spot, too. You have some really nice shots there, as well. Do you ever get a roadrunner?

I do see them quite often. They come across the back wall and down into my yard. They don't stick around very long. Maybe that where they got their name "roadrunners". I just have to be faster with my camera.

How exciting! The warmth coming from the jacuzzi has to be a big draw, especially during the winter. When you get another picture, please post it…
