Sometimes..when in doubt, I use a wireless system....transmitter fits on the camera, receiver on the flash hotshoe. They're less than $30 on ebay... Nyms
The only time I have to sign for anything, it's because the package is from Russia, Poland, the UK....... most stuff from the USA, I don't. When I send a package, I always have tracking. But I sent one to Australia and the tracking for a small first class package was $14.95....the contents were worth $3, so I skipped it. Nyms
I find the hot shoe voltage 'converters' are if-y at best. On ebay you can buy a radio control trigger that works much better, less than $40, come with two receivers for multi-flash, and easy to use. Nyms
I BOUGHT 12 Kodak slide trays at Goodwill for $1 each.....and the checkout girl was not sure what they were. I still enjoy watching my own slide shows. Nyms

IMHO - maybe they should ban selfie stick users along with banning selfie sticks ;)
Hahahahahahahaha..Oh jeeeez.....!! Good one. I thought perhaps I was the only one with an absolute 'turn selfie stick users into haggis' grating intolerance..... Nyms

Here's a tip I found online about not making it tighter when you try to loosen it.
"Gripping the filter tightly will tend to expand the threaded section, making it harder to remove. To get more grip, take a pair of thick rubber bands and put one around each filter, that will help grip the very thin part of the polarizer that has the knurling. Gently twist the filters, grabbing at different parts of the ring to even out the distortion. A little push in and out (not rotation) can help wear down / dislodge any grit."

Wow...good idea, too.. Nyms
Yes, I keep the lens filter wrenches also..... You only need to use them once in your life to justify the low cost. Especially when you have a stuck 25A red filter on your favourite lens. Those wrenches are needed by everyone who use filters. It prevents 'Ohhhh NO...!!' Nyms
What are you trying to do that requires ND filters...?
If you have a digital camera, drop the ISO down to about 10 and you won't need any ND filters that knock off 10 stops. But you DO need the book recommended..... For a beginner, you've asked a question that can be incredibly complex instead of just a simple answer. Nyms
One man explained to me that women were better because we got to play with all the "cool parts" whenever we wanted to.... Well...there IS that..... Nyms
Wow...great article, quite interesting.
Yes, The Darkroom.....but let them know the film is 30 years old. I've processed Verichrome that was shot in 1959 and got weak but okay photos that were viewable. But Plus X from the late 70's came out blank. But that was usually rolls left in someones drawer or garage. Old film left in old cameras always seem to come out.....cameras usually are taken care of better. But...let them know anyway... Nyms

Yes. I read your recent post suggesting this camera. You were very enthusiastic about it so I immediately researched it and found some very good sample photos. When I saw it on eBay for that price how could I not give it a go? It is in excellent condition and I'm looking forward to using it for family occasions. Thank you again for the suggestion.
Hello, Ralph....I'm glad you like it. It really IS an underrated camera. They weren't made, I don't think, for very long, and they are rare even on ebay. When I bought my first one new, it was marked down to $99.95 at Office Depot. One nice thing is that outdoors it has an actual viewfinder...one that works in the sun. And it does pretty good video as well. As I said in my earlier post, I shot an Eric Clapton/Stevie Winwood concert with it, leaving all my other Nikons home. We were centre stage, second row, and in some of the shots I could read his watch. Really cool camera. Nyms
I used a P60 for backup and it is a great, underrated camera. I also bought a broken screen P60 on ebay, bought a new screen, and had a great camera for $20 or so. I gave it to my husband. They also do video. Nyms
It's like a unicycle with a front wheel.... I'm trying to figure out how they made it stand there with no stand. I've decided they shoved it out there and shot at 1/2000sec..... Nyms
