Surprised this government only cut her pension by half, why not cut it completely as they would love to do,that way there would be more money for the likes of them to be richer!!!

I would say it is not an Adobe issue, but a hardware issue for your mac - depending on the specifics - you might not have enough free ram for what you are doing, so it swaps to disk to free up ram for the apps.

Working with images is memory intensive - for me, I keep activity monitor running at startup - as a login item to let me check on how much cpu is being used and how much memory is being used.

If you get the beachball a lot I would think that either CPU use is going into overdrive or you are spending time swapping memory.

You might want to take a look at what is really going on by launching activity

monitor when you start your machine or login so you can see where resources are being eaten up.

BTW - I run an iMac 27" with 24 GB of ram, and still occasionally swap memory when doing large panorama merges in Lightroom or heavy work in Photoshop - so I will end up upgrading to 32 GB soon I am sure.

NOTE: The smaller the swap number the better ;)
I would say it is not an Adobe issue, but a hardwa... (show quote)

I also have the same problem quite often when running Lightroom 6 on my iMac and I have 32 Gb ram installed, it's so annoying watching the spinning beach ball. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Great photos
Great lens I have one, I upgraded sometime ago from the Sigma 150-500, great upgrade certainly with the much quieter focus ring motor and of course the extra reach.

Beautiful photos, we went there many years ago, but the weather was nothing like this, even all the waterfalls had almost dried up.
Must go again real soon.
Keep up the beautiful photography

Thanks all for your comments,
I must admit I do sometimes forget about the rule of thirds, get carried away with just photographing.😀

Been a long Winter, and so tired of being sick & tired. Another heart attack arising from another aneurysm going on. Being watched, but currently no new surgeries planned. Lots of extra time on my hands tho, as not getting out much. Access to a new Mac desktop now, and not knowing anything about Macs, needing a good all-around photo editor. Thinking PhotoShop is now with the Cloud/monthly service, and looking for a single program/flat fee. Suggestions? Thanks.

Hi good luck with your recovery, I had one about 4yrs ago, so know what you are going through, I'm now fine.
On my iMac I use Lightroom which is very good, also photoshop Elements and onone software, all our very good, probably Lightroom is a bit daunting to get your head around but once mastered is excellent.

I've already made another one which is much better.

great Photo, excellent post processing, I must admit I prefer the amended version, I think the 1st version is just a little over worked, but that's just my opinion.keep up the good work

Taken on short break to St.Ives, Cornwall.
It was taken with a Nikon D7100 with a Sigma 150-600 Contemporary lens, original Raw file post processed in Lightroom 6, finished off with a dark Vignette.
This is my 1st submission in Photo Gallery
Comments would be appreciated
