Did some birding in Florida last week and fell in love with this lens. All these pics are handheld, no tripod.

I was just there Saturday, great place to shoot....a gator got one of the little ones just before we got there according to one of the workers! I'll be posting some from there in a few days.

I'm guessing you have the C model, not the S. They are all very nice photos, very nice. If you took them handheld with an S model then not only are you a good photographer, you are also very physically fit. I too love my Sigma 150-600 but it's the S model and although you can handhold it, it's not easy and not something one can do for long periods of time.

Again, beautiful photos.

A pelican was swimming around the front and the gator jumped out and just missed him while I was there. Wish I had my camera focused on that but it was so quick.

Thanks. The weight was one of the reasons I decided on the Contemporary.

Great photos
Great lens I have one, I upgraded sometime ago from the Sigma 150-500, great upgrade certainly with the much quieter focus ring motor and of course the extra reach.

I don't know which ones, but I took many shots at 600 and they were still sharp.
