I bought a Lumix DC-ZS200 to avoid carrying all my DSLR gear on planes, trains, buses, and cars across the Canadian Rockies and beyond. Fits in my pocket, takes some learning, but took great pictures in raw, 24-360 zoom, Leica lens, etc. Can't wait to get home and start lightrooming.
Having lived and worked in Jordan over a number years, I covered just about every square inch in all conditions, including snow (yes snow, and not on mountain peaks). What you will want, if capturing all the beauty and history is your goal, is the highest quality and widest selection of lenses that you have and can carry. I did not, and years later, I still regret my decision.
Thanks for your responses to my question. Sounds like there are good reasons to test the Canon plugin.
Thanks. Implicit in your answer is that there is little or no added value other than the final check you mention. Is there general agreement with that view in Hedgehog World?
I recently purchased a new Pixma Pro-100. Offered with the printer are several plugins including Print Studio Pro. I Use Lightroom and shoot in raw. I use an Apple computer for photo processing and printing. I would appreciate opinions on whether using the plugin is better/easier than printing from Lightroom. If you can offer how-to links, I would also appreciate that.
Thanks.
Sorry, my last post was garbled. It was refurbished 2011 iMac. Should have said "best" photo tool.
I just bought a 27" imdc for under $2000. Next to my camera, be photo tool I own.
Good luck sorting through the conflicting advice!! Funny.
The more you are able to point your camera toward the front of the bus (direction of movement) the better off you will be.
I have one. Bought it for fax without phone line feature. Wireless features work well, but would look around if that feature not overriding. Others are faster, cheaper to operate or print photos better.
That is a fabulous shot for so many reasons.
I've had mine since August. No problemo.
Thanks for the suggestions. If I get anything good (big if), I'll post a few.
Costco has been running specials on line on the Nikon D5100 with 18-55 and 55-300 lenses plus camera bag for $1200 or even less at times.
I will be in Richmond all day Thursday, what sites do you recommend I visit for good nature or other "outdoors" pictures?
