Composed of 30 images. Shot in 2 sets. 1st during the day, 2nd at dusk. Each set consists of 5 sets (left to right) of 3 exposures -2, 0, +2. 3ples were fused w. Bracketeer and all 10 results were used to create panorama.

Banding is a fault of JPG compression. To avoid use uncompressed formats- TIFF, PNG

Thank you all for yr kind words. It does mean a lot to me.
As for the background, first I tried lighting it w. blue filtered flash but I couldn't get the bark blue I wanted. So in PShop I set the background to the color I like and then erased the dark areas of the image

Actually I wanted to start a new topic for Critique but my only choose was "Analysis".
So I'll try to comply inviting criticism as well.
As usual, when I do an art shoot I want to make the best image ever. Orchids are a good challenge as there's more pix of them than sand grains in the sky :-)
I think I've succeeded. If you've seen a better shot please point to it as I'm eager to improve myself.
Tech specs: Canon 5D, 580EX off camera, ISO L- 50, F22, T 1/60 lens @85mm w. 18mm ext. ring. Combination of 5 different shots. Shots varied by position of the flash- behind, from the sides, head on , etc.
Let me know what you think.

I hope it doesn't have Lion. Not backward compatible. I upgraded mine w. a Hybrid drive. Can't tell if it's beneficial as test would be cumbersome. Unlike towers swapping HDs is a big deal. I've burnt my 8 core MacTower Pro :-( New 12GB core 2 Duo iMac seems to be about just as fast. But since my 28" monitor died too that was the only thing I could afford. Considering that I spent $1200 for the 27" i7 iMac (refurb from Apple) VS almost $6000 for a prev. set up - not a bad outcome for such a disaster.
