Great post AsiaPaul,
Nothing like a good wake up call, you sure did it. Thanks for reminding us old Vets of the nice looking Japanese Girls and the nice feeling past, we shared.

You really should consider at least a 300mm or at best a 400mm, for the Large Wave Surfing pictures of the North Shore and Waimea.

This is a loaded question or should I mention 'questions' , "I want to buy the best Sports Camera", than "which is better a99ii or 1dx2?". I don't know if Tom realizes (again, I don't know) but there are much variables that goes with, "Best Camera", for instance, I've used both Nikon and Canon, mostly Nikon, in fact I've used every Nikon Pro SLR and DSLR made until now. Like most of us, I bought each "Upgrade" with the belief that it would improve my images and each time, over and over again, realized I just couldn't find a difference. I am an old guy that's having a problem holding the big guns now so I decided instead of buying the Nikon D5 which is larger and heavier than my D4S, I would focus (No Pun Intended) on my settings, before each click, I would check the settings and my surroundings than click and guess what? I finally, after all these years, see those image improvements right out of the camera that I could never see before.......... Just a first aid treatment to a "Gas attack".............Sorry for the long wind.

I for one like all the Nikon Cameras I own and have owned, they all were great for my use, with that said, I have both a D750 and D810 and basically like the 810 mostly because it balances better with all my heavy Nikkor D lenses, I have large hands and rather like heavy, balanced combinations. I only use the 750 when I go on trips and need the faster bursts...........My 2Cents

Yes that's the reason, just new versions being released way before necessary. I found out from Lexar that the Sony produces the Reader that works with the older cards with read speeds below 1400x. I guess Lexar didn't produce readers for it's first generation XQD cards, I don't know. Anyway if you have a card with speeds of 1333x you should purchase the Sony MRW-E80 Reader or the Lexar Workflow XR2-for the newer XQD cards with 1400x or higher speeds.

I understand all of what you say and yes I'm sure, I don't mean anything other than XQD, that's why I posted the question.

I see where several stores are dropping the prices of XQD memory cards, some even are stating, "No longer available", "Factory discontinued", one even refunded an order with the factory discontinued caption when ordered on line. Does anyone on the HOG know what's going on?

I second the motion on Darrell Young, he gives you very easy steps to load he's recommendations and or how to set your own.
Almost everything covered.

The fact that Roberts provide a 6 Month warranty with most everything they sell used adds to their credibility. Most other ebay sellers offer no warranty on used stuff and only a few with 30 - 60 day warranties, none that I know can match the 6 Months that Roberts provide.

Have been dealing with Roberts Ebay sales for years because everything used that I purchased was always in a better condition than listed, always accepted reasonable offers and always was very easy to deal with. I strongly recommend them.

On this subject let us all not forget, that, there are as many different types of photographers as there are purposes of a photo. Some needs are just for websites and or newasletters that are sufficiently shot and processed in Jpeg never needing a extra large Raw file. It's all a matter of time to spend and end satisfaction. To it's his own. My 2 cents.

I saw him in person in Korea and then in Vietnam and felt like he was just another Branch of Service, part of our war efforts, yet he represented "Home" to us all in the service abroad.

You are correct, IBM sold off the PC business end to China based Lenovo and are partnered together where IBM provides maintenance in support and warranty services for Lenovo. A great team effort allowing us the consumers to afford a high quality with great follow-up service. No I'm not an IBM employee or affiliate, just a long time satisfied customer.

Nobody mentioned, Built or Support, I've owned IBM PCs for more years than most of are because, of built quality but, mostly because of Factory warranty and support, best in the business, they stand behind everything. (Lenovo is IBM products)
