I used to be abe to make recording with Audacity and make audio CD to play on regular CD player. Now the CD I made only play on the CD drive of a computer but not on a regular CD player. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
BebuLamar, I’m no computer whiz so please don’t be offended if this is something you already know and do routinely-but back when I was burning audio CD’s, my CD-R wouldn’t play in other players outside of the computer until I “finalized” it after making the recording. That act also rendered it unchangeable.
I hope this helps-best of luck.
Architect1776,
Thank you for pointing this new possibility out-I wasn’t aware of this. Very exciting for me, having just purchased the R7, which makes my 7D2 feel like a dinosaur. I’ve been saving up for the 100-400RF lens and this looks like a great add-on, if not too expensive. At 2X, it would top out at 1280mm equivalent, which is plenty for me.
I’m happy to recommend Mpix. Quick turnaround, high quality, solid service after the sale.
At my daughter’s wedding in Puerto Vallarta in 2015, the photographer used a Canon 60D. The results were stunning. The color rendition was perfect. The clarity was very impressive, even with blow-ups to 20”X30”. The resort photographer did it all, from pre-wedding posing and festivities to the reception afterward and he was a young man in his early 20’s. I asked him how he liked the camera and he said he loved it.

I’ve done a few metal prints through Mpix and have been very pleased with the results. I doubt they’re as inexpensive as Costco but I can vouch for the quality.
As a side note, post-sales service from Mpix has been outstanding and I recommend them highly.

I highly endorse Mpix. Quick turnaround, excellent results, and they’re willing to work with me when I’m the one who messes up!

Hello Hoggers,
Visiting the Finger Lakes region for the first time (staying in Watkins Glen) for 6 nights in September. I know there are a lot of wineries and breweries that I will research myself. Any must see areas for photos?
Thank you, Tony
Hi Tony,
I stayed on the east side of Lake Cayuga in 2018, and checked out Filmore Glen, Buttermilk Falls, Lansing Myers Park, Watkins Glen, Robert Treman, Ithaca Falls, and Taughannock Falls. Taughannock has a short, flat hike to a 200 foot waterfall. At most of these you can do a loop hike consisting of the “gorge” (or creek) hike followed by the “cliff” (woods) hike back. I generally went up the gorge trails and came back down the cliff trails.
At Hermann J. Wiemer winery on the west side of Seneca Lake, I found a Riesling semi-dry wine that I really liked.
Have a great trip!
Pat

I’ve had excellent results from Mpix as well as top-notch customer service.

Just looked at the Crosstour Sports Action Camera 4K 20MP for $40. It doesn't have the zoom feature, is this good or bad, necessary or not? Thanks in advance! Dan
The perspective on both my GoPro 3+ and the Crosstour are wide angle. I don’t know if it’s necessary to have zoom but it seems like it would be a good thing to have if needed. Having never had it I just can’t say for sure.

This Thanks. Mike
I’ve had the GoPro Hero 3+ for 6 years and I’ve used it for mountain biking, skiing, hiking, fishing, and underwater pictures and video. I still use this camera and I have no complaints. It’s never failed me and the best upgrade was when I bought an LED screen to put on the back of it. It looks like all the current models have built in LED screens. I’ve dropped it, smashed it, and kept it underwater for long periods. I bought a set of wasabi batteries for backup.
I bought a Crosstour brand knockoff for my grandson this summer for his 9th birthday for $36.99. (Mine was $399!) All of our mounting accessories are compatible and his works great too. I see where Amazon has a cyber Monday deal on the Crosstour for $29.59. BTW they also have the Hero 7 on sale today for $175.
We did a very similar route in 2015, and did a lot of these recommended items. One other place we visited that was well worth our time was the Little Bighorn battlefield National Monument on the Crow reservation in Montana. It’s between Beartooth pass and Devil’s Tower and only took a few hours. Very moving.

This is outside your 100-mile limit, but when I was last to Casper, I made the drive to Devil's Tower...
I heartily endorse visiting Devil’s Tower as well. I made the side trip 5 years ago and was very glad I did. Pleasant hike around the base, and there were a few climbers tackling the steep slope headed to the top. Sacred to the Indians, it’s treated respectfully. I was there mid-morning but I can see where sunrise or sunset colors could be fantastic.
Ocean lake. 134 miles away so outside of your range, but unbelievable fishing. Not trout-mostly crappie, some largemouth bass, a few bream. Fished it many years ago with a fly rod, 3 flies at a time-2 black, 1 red. Frequent doubles, pulled 3 out one cast. Rented a light johnboat type craft, with the stern warning that if I saw a storm brewing in the west, get off the lake ASAP. With nothing to block the wind, waves apparently get “ocean-sized” during storms, hence the name.

Wow, sounds like a perfect place to do business.
So my question is this, I am new to printing my images of having someone print them for me. When sending them to Mpix , what format is the file, and will they adjust anything in the image?
I send all mine in jpeg format. You can choose to have them adjust the color etc. or just print them as delivered. The choice is yours.
