Yes it does. When using a nikon FX in DX mode camera the image contains 44% of the number of mpx as the full frame. A 36 mpx D810 produces a 15.8 mpx DX photo, a D750 a 10,6 mpx image
For Cannon with a 1.6 crop mode it would be a factor of .39

The presence of people definitely makes for a more interesting photo. You might have brought up the shadows a little bit to give some detail to their faces as they're not quite in silhouette

That Lincoln Continental looks like it is a mid '50s model. I always liked the styling of the '54, '55, '56 Continental Mark IIs. Wish I could afford one. Starting in 1958, the Continentals had those fins like most cars of that vintage.

That could very well be. I'm no car expert, I just happened to come across the show while out for a walk

It's a cold winter day here in Connecticut so I decided to revisit and reedit some prior photographs as there have been advances in both software and my skills in using it

These were taken at the Fairfield County Hunt Club in September of 2010

You need something on the ultra wide end, especially since your 24-70 F2.8 is not a true normal zoom on an DX sensor. It's a 36-105 equivalent. You might look at a Sigma 10-20, a Tamron 10-24 or Nikon 10-24

If you do close up work you could look at a 60 or 105 mm Macro lens. Personally I found the 105 too long when I had my D 300 but perfect for my full frame D810

Beautiful photo. How long was the exposure?

Your 28-300 will be perfect for 80-90% of your shooting. It's only drawback is that IQ is not great at the long end. The 50 F1.4 would be a bonus for dimly lit interiors and city night photography but unnecessary because of the D750's ability to shoot at high ISO. What you're missing is an ultra wide option for tight spaces and wide vistas of which there are plenty. If you want to go Nikon either the 18-35 or 16-35 F4 (my choice). The 14-24 F2.8 is a great lens but it's extremely heavy, doesn't take a filter and is very pricey.

Also since you'll be on the move quite a bit keep it as light as possible. Shlepping around a heavy shoulder bag or back pack can wear on your neck and shoulders. When I travel I like to leave my camera bag securely in my room and wear a vest with my extra lenses and other equipment in my pockets. You'd be amazed at how quickly a briefly unattended bag can disappear with your stuff

By the way, April is by far the best month to travel in Israel. The temperature is moderate except in the far south and the rainy season is over. Winter can be cold and rainy and summers unbelievably hot

Great shot! Was this taken in near darkness or did you use a heavy ND filter?

Definitely the first one. It's a much more creative photo. Also, it looks to me like the second one is not sharp. You didn't provide the full file download so I cant tell for sure but a blown focus would disqualifying in a contest

I was going through my old files to see if I could rework some older images and came across this one from 2008. It's fun to see what a difference better skills and upgraded software can make

I can't decide whether I like the color or B&W better

It's called the Whispering gallery and it's about 20 feet to the right of my photograph next to the Oyster bar restaurant. The shape of the vaulted dome ceiling transmits and reconcentrates the sound at the opposite corner. I get a kick at the tourist's reactions when they check it out. I once saw a marriage proposal delivered there. Needless to say it was a touching sight

Very nice composition. A touch too heavy on the saturation in my opinion

Those are terrific. Black and white or natural monochrome are meant for rainy conditions. Red umbrella definitely makes a statement.

I love black and white. I was into photography for 10 years before I shot my first roll of color print film when I went on my honeymoon. Now with digital every photo can be either, or, or both and I cant say I miss the stinking fumes of darkroom chemicals
