This is really timely because I am looking for a 50mm Distagon for my moth eaten Hasselblad which I have decided to resurrect. I always liked the square format and using something with limited shots, you tend to compose and check settings more carefully. And it doesn't mean I can't keep something digital in my pocket!

If these are on glass, can you flip them and get the negative view? Does your toning have the same effect on the reverse?

The Olympus North American headquarters is in Bethlehem, PA. It has been a rumor for several years that the camera division would be phased out because it wasn't profitable and that Olympus would concentrate on their medical division which is very profitable. I'm glad to see that a buyer has been found to continue a photographic line that is over 70 years old.

My last haircut was January. My wife tells me she'll give me a trim when I'm asleep. I have to sleep with one eye open because I'm waiting for my regular "salon" to open.

Beans should always be pre soaked for at least one hour. They could be dirty or have critters sleeping in there.
I use to sell vegan products and one of the best companies that had high quality beans & grains was and is Goya Brand. And their products are readily available. I have no connection with them & I never did. I sold things in 25 & 50 lb sacks.

We compliment this with Greek Feta(not French or Bulgarian) and a loaf of home made crusty bread. My wife also makes the lentil dish Fakee which is lentils mixture( brown, green, red, or black) oregano, bay leaves, mint, salt & pepper, canned tomatoes and her secret sauce. These dishes are very healthy and provide a wealth of high nutrition to our diet. I thought Lent was over!!

I have a cousin with the 7100--Too Heavy. I have two buddies that have XT-2. I like the size and weight. I like a lot about it. One of these gents suggested a Used/Refurbish XT-2. I would be satisfied with an 18-55 lens for now. I rarely used the Nikon 55-200 VR zoom. For the type of work I do and shoot, the XT-2 fills my needs. Truthfully, since I have not purchased or kept up with the advancement in cameras and the ease of cell phone camera(I have the Hassey adaptors for my cell phone, but bulky and a pain) I have been wont to just jump and purchase by name. Thankfully, Two friends have been kind enough to assist also. Again, many many "Thank You" to everyone who voiced your opinions.

My Squadron was VA-105 flying A-7's. I had one deployment to the Med with CVA(at the time)-60 better know at the USS Saratoga. We blew several boilers and pulled into Pireaus harbor(Athens, Greece) and sat there for 30 days while the boilers were repaired enough to get us back to the states. She picked up the moniker, "Sinking Sara".

Gave up on FF Nikon three years ago 'cos Fujis are "good enough".

See my X-T2 pics from this year (with prime lenses) and ...... you choose.

Thank you all. My mind is made up and my old trust worthy Nikon stash will cry. I'm looking at the Fuji XT2 or XT3. I realize the "2" is being discontinued but I'm not looking to spend over $1K with one lens. I have an account at B&H and I used to deal with Adorama several years ago. I will also consider a factory refurbished with a decent warranty(more than 30 days). Again thank you, everyone, for your input. I might check in again with my new toy when I get it

I have a D40X that is at least 12 years old. I have the 18-55 that came with it and also the 55-200VR. Weight is also important because of rotator cuff problem.

I'm giving serious consideration to the Ion 2SD Max as a general purpose without spending too much to digitize some of those "old" slides from the '90's. Is it adequate, does it do a good job? Any input is greatly appreciated.
I want the pros(I hope there are some) and the cons(be easy on me). Thanks for everyone's opinion!

I Photographed them about 3 years ago in Baltimore from my son's roof top deck in the Canton area using my Nikon 55-200 zoom.
